Happy Summer!

While school is out of session and camps may not be happening, we thought sharing some educational resources about where chocolate comes from and how cacao is grown and processed might make a good summer learning project! These videos have all been published on our Instagram but we wanted to circle back and share with you, your teams and families some beautiful educational videos about cacao harvesting, processing, and quality control. These videos were filmed and edited by the talented Justus Lowry (@cacaoroad on Instagram) from clips he filmed in Guatemala and Belize over recent years.

We hope you enjoy these videos and that they can add a visual component to any educating you find yourself doing around cacao and chocolate. These are only short clips; it is impossible to cover in a quick video the sheer amount of effort, skill, and dedication required by each step in the process.

Please feel free to share this post to help those around you learn about the amazing journey that cacao takes from tree to you! There is so much hard work that happens at origin to make sure the cacao is high quality, before chocolate makers take over and continue the process of hard work and passion to transform these beans into great chocolate.
